Respected Sir,

The traitor terrorist Yakub Memon, the mastermind behind the 1993-Mumbai serial bomb blasts that killed 257 innocent people was hanged on 30th July. In fact, that Yakub was hanged after 22 years is an injustice done to the victims of the serial bomb blasts. The sentence of death penalty culminated after the due legal process going through the court, High Court, Supreme Court and the President of India. At every stage the case was heard and then finalized. Despite this, the so-called social reformists and human rights activists wrote a letter directly to the President of India to cancel the sentence of a terrorist. For the same purpose, the doors of Supreme Court were knocked at 11 p.m. on 29th July. Attempts were made for cancellation of death sentence of a terrorist which is a gross mockery of democracy. It is unfortunate that India is the only country where a traitor gets so much protection through social, political, constitutional and religious forums. If terrorism is to be eradicated, such supporters of terrorists should feel scared of our judicial system.

Therefore, I demand that –

1. To prevent the appeasement of terrorists like Yakub permanently, a strong law should be enacted like in America that when the Supreme Court declares sentence to a terrorist and the President declines the mercy petition, no channel or meeting should be arranged for a debate on the issue.

2. Just as it is inappropriate to use religion in elections, the use of religion even after the elections by the people’s representatives should be declared as inappropriate and a stringent action should be taken against them.

3. The supporters of the traitor Yakub and those who criticize the judicial system should be declared as traitors and a stringent action should be taken against them.
