Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has demanded through a representation submitted to the District Collector, Police Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner and Mayor that Amaravati Municipal Corporation should not construct artificial water tanks for immersion of Sree Ganesha idols and allow Sree Ganesha devotees to immerse the idols in natural water resource as prescribed in ‘Dharmashastra’.
