Crackdown on online real-money gaming apps
Surajya Abhiyan’s efforts to address the adverse impact of real-money gaming on society, through representations to state and central governments, led to the removal of related advertisements and contributed to the enactment of the 2025 Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, banning such games nationwide.

Recovery of long-pending Municipal advances
Surajya Abhiyan exposed long-pending unrecovered municipal advances (Tasalmat) across Maharashtra. RTI-driven efforts and sustained follow-up recovered over ₹3 crore of taxpayers funds, reinforcing governance accountability.

Wider acceptance of ₹10 coins
Surajya Abhiyan raised the issue with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the government regarding shops and local traders refusing to accept ₹10 coins. The RBI subsequently released an awareness video affirming the validity of ₹10 coins, leading to wider public acceptance.

NHRC action on Ujani Water pollution
Highlighting severe pollution in Ujani Dam in Maharashtra, Surajya Abhiyan submitted a complaint to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). The NHRC took cognisance, and issued notices to the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) Chairman & the Principal Secretary of Public Health, marking a key step towards protecting public health.

Cleanliness drive across Maharashtra bus depots
Surajya Abhiyan flagged unhygienic conditions at bus depots through photos and memorandums to 21 depot managers and the State Transport Ministry, prompting MSRTC to launch the ‘Swachh Sundar Bus Sthaanak Abhiyan’ with deep cleaning every 15 days across 560+ depots, benefiting millions of commuters.

Relief for parents from forced school purchases
Schools compelled parents to buy books and uniforms from specific vendors, increasing costs. Representations by Surajya Abhiyan to the Maharashtra Education Department led to district-level orders permitting free vendor choice, reducing the financial burden on parents.

Revival of non-functional Trauma Care centres
A Surajya Abhiyan campaign demanded the operationalisation of 45 trauma centres in Maharashtra that had been constructed but remained unused. Through RTI efforts and sustained follow-up, several centres were reopened, strengthening emergency care on highways.

Crackdown on illegal high glare headlights
Surajya Abhiyan flagged the issue of illegal high-glare vehicle headlights, which violate safety standards and pose a serious road safety risk. In response, the State Transport Commissioner directed all regional and sub-regional transport authorities to take action against such violations and promote public awareness.
