50000 Clay Ganesha Idols – HJS joins SAVE to stop environmental pollution

Bhagyanagar (Hyderabad): Today most of the Ganesha Idols are made up of plaster of paris. Only few people use idols of clay. Hindu Dharmashastra says that only Clay idols of Lord Ganesha attract the Ganesha principle in large amount.

Due to the hazardous environmental pollution taking place due to plaster of paris idols many people now  want CLAY IDOLS. Some people in the society are taking such initiative also.

One such person in Bhagyanagar (Hyderabad) is Mr. Vijayram, the owner of Emerald Mithai Shop and also the person behing SAVE-Society for Awareness and Vision on Environment.

Mr. Vijayram is tirelessly doing all efforts to provide Clay Idols of Lord Ganesha free of cost to larger Hindu public in the city. He has been doing this for the past 6 years. Last year 10,000 Free idols were distributed. This year, Mr. Vijayram says 25,000 idols will be distributed by Emerald mithai shop and another 25,000 idols will be distributed by Local Govt. Authority (HMDA-Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority) who took inspiration from Mr. Vijayram.

5 Feet Ganesh Idols

Also this year Mr. Vijayram has taken another initiative of providing  Clay idols of 5 feet for Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav in a subsidised rate. The 5 feet idol as shown in picture costs Rs. 3500, but has been subsidised by the Government and is given at 1,000 rs. Only.

The Small Ganesha Clay Idols are available a day before Ganesh Chaturthi and on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi at EMERALD MITHAI SHOP, Indira Park Road, Hyderabad.
