Seculargiri: Temples on target, mosques excluded!

Roha: Jain Muni Gurudev H. Chandranan Sagar Surishwarji Maharaj from Roha said that if all saints unite, the dilemma of taking over temples can be solved. Since we are not united, such issues are cropping up. If the Government wants to take over temples then why is it excluding mosques? The Govt. is already collecting tax from temples. We should therefore, oppose the Govt. ploy by coming together. H. H. Raghuveer Maharaj and members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) called on H. Chandranan Sagar Surishwarji Maharaj at the Jain Dharmashala.

While talking to H. H. Raghuveer Maharaj, Chandranan Maharaj informed that a meeting of all Jain munis was held in Mumbai when the said issue was discussed. Besides, at a meeting held in Nagothane, Shri. Sunil Tatkare, the caretaker Minister of Raigad district was told that if the issue of taking over temples is not resolved, all saints will come on the roads; but the Minister avoided giving an answer. He said further that the Government is not doing anything, whatever needs to be done, is to be done unitedly by Hindus. The Government is only interested in taking over money. Political parties have money. Recently, Sonia Gandhi held a meeting. To collect 5 lac people for the same, every person was given Rs.500/-. For our meetings, however, people come out of their love.

H.H. Raghuveer Maharaj said that all politicians are fit to be put behind bars; but unfortunately, there is ‘Raj-yoga’ in their horoscopes. The Govt. is giving the excuse of mismanagement of Mandhardevi fair for taking over all temples. When so many people died in the bomb explosions and policemen were burnt alive in Bhiwandi, where was the management of the Government? H. Chandranana Maharaj assured to extend all support to Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in its fight against the proposed Act.
