JAMSHEDPUR: The Shankaracharya of Dwarka and Jotishmath criticised the decision of the erstwhile NDA government to construct the Ram temple away from the disputed site and stressed the temple should be constructed at the site. The Shankaracharya said: "The Vajpayee government’s decision was wrong and we do not feel that the temple, which is the identity of the Hindus, can be constructed somewhere other than the location, where the sanctum sanctorum exists today."
