Do so-called progressive women feel they are superior to Indira Gandhi ? – Adv. Kusum Patil

Jalgaon (Maharashtra) : In one of the temples in Southern India, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was not allowed to enter by trustees of the temple as per the tradition followed. She respected trustees’ word and didn’t go inside that temple. If she could follow the tradition humbly as a Prime Minister, do these so-called progressive women feel they are superior to Indira Gandhi ? The above question was asked by Adv. Kusum Patil during press conference held at Patrakar Bhavan in Jalgaon on the issue of Shani Shingnapur.

The press conference was also addressed by Sanatan Sanstha’s Saint ‘Pujya’ Nandkumar Jadhav, Adv. Sou. Kusum Patil, Warakari Sampradaya’s Sou. Suvarna Patil, Kum. Rageshree Deshpande of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Kum. Pratiksha Korgaonkar of its ‘Ranaragini’ Division.

Women purposely going for breaking faith can be punished with 2 years imprisonment !

Adv. Kusum Patil said that hurting religious sentiments is an offence. Under clause 295 A, 297 A of Indian Penal Code, legal action can be taken against women from ‘Bhoomata Brigade’ ; they can be arrested and detained for 2 years. These women have no devotion for Shanidev and are trying to go to temple-pedestal only to create disharmony.

Sanatan’s lady-seekers will also go to Shani Shingnapur ! – ‘Pujya’ Nandkumar Jadhav

‘Pu.’ Nandkumar Jadhav said, “Every Deity has certain function to perform as per spiritual science and accordingly, manifest power of respective Deity works. Shani is a stern Deity and manifest energy of such Deity can cause distress to women. The vibrations emitted from Shanidev are harmful and can adversely affect abdominal part of women. Why should there be so much of hue and cry if the tradition was started only for protection of women ?

so-called progressive women’s actions are out of conceit ! – Sou. Suvarna Patil

Sou. Suvarna Patil said that respect with which a woman is treated under Hindu Dharma will not be found in any other religion. In Hindu Dharma, wife comes before husband e.g. we say Lakshminarayan, Sitaram etc. It will therefore, be wrong to say that women were purposely excluded. These women talking about climbing the temple-pedestal at Shani Shingnapur are doing so, not out of their devotion; but only out of their strong conceit; to show they can intimidate. Will they get any benefit by having ‘darshan’ in such manner ?

Members of Ranaragini from North Maharashtra to join Shani Shingnapur drive ! – Kum. Rageshree Deshpande

Kum. Rageshree Deshpande said that there was deliberate attack on religious customs and traditions and faith of Hindus. Such anti-Dharma acts can lead to outburst of devotees’ religious sentiments, creating law and order problem.

It is only publicity stunt ! – Kum. Pratiksha Korgaonkar

Kum. Pratiksha Korgaonkar said that so-called progressive women creating airs about entering temple-pedestal at Shani Shingnapur should show guts and enter Haji Ali durga at Mumbai. They should not try to break traditions followed under Hindu Dharma, just for publicity.
