BJP demand strict action against oppressors of Sadhvi Pragya

Falgun Krushna Dwitiya

It has been 3 months since Sadhvi Pradnya singh has filed an affidavit in the Court that she was being ill-treated in the prison. News about her harassment has been published again and again and BJP is still just demanding action. Is such BJP of any use to Hindus?

Mumbai: Sadhvi Pragya, an accused in Malegaon bomb blast case has given up eating in the prison; as a result, she had to be admitted to J. J. Hospital for treatment. Shri. Madhav Bhandari, spokesperson of BJP, today made an insistent demand in the press conference that thorough enquiry should be conducted in this regard and strict action should taken against the concerned officers. (BJP is supposed to be the biggest pro-Hindu party in India and it should have such strong hold that by this time, Sadhvi Pragya should have been released; but BJP has failed to do anything for those fighting for Hindu Dharma! – Editor). He also informed that a complaint will also be lodged with the Human Rights Commission in this connection. (Why BJP did not take any action for so many days; or is it going to be just a point in its election manifesto? – Editor)

Shri. Bhandari said that there is a code of conduct on treatment of accused detained in the prisons. The jail officials have acted against the articles of Indian Constitution in case of Sadhvi Pragya so enquiry should be conducted in the matter and the guilty must be punished.

VHP has only expressed its displeasure in case of ill-treatment to Sadhvi Pragya!

Sadhvi Pragya filed a complaint with the Court that she was made to eat non-vegetarian food and she started hunger strike from 1st March as the Court did not take cognizance of her complaint. The Government is responsible for inflicting torture on Sadhvi. A circular has been issued by Prof. Vyankatesh Abdev of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) expressing its displeasure against the Government’s perverse policy.
