Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav necessary to increase the faith of Hindus in Dharma! – Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Shri Shri Vidhushekhar Bharati Mahaswamiji

Blessings by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Shri Shri Vidhushekhar Bharati Mahaswamiji, successor to Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Shri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji of Dakshinamnaya Shri Sharada Peetha, Sringeri

Starting today, the ‘Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’ has organised the week-long ‘Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav’ in Gomantak. We are extremely pleased to learn that numerous programmes have been organised to create awareness about ‘various practices of Sanatan Hindu Dharma and their importance’. Our Sanatan Dharma is the most superior. It provides guidance on what every person should do for welfare in this world (Bhooloka), hereafter, and in the lifetimes to come. We face many kinds of sorrows in this birth. Only Sanatan Dharma provides comprehensive guidance on escaping this cycle of misery. Vedas, Shastras, Puranas, and Itihaasa, the roots of Sanatan Dharma, are invaluable. These Granths (Holy texts) have answers to every type of question.

Hindu faith suffered due to invasions

India has practised this Dharma since time immemorial. Each Dharmik activity has a specific reason behind it. While we can understand some of these reasons, we lack the ability to fathom others. The Maharishis gained an insight into such reasons through their divine vision and bestowed that knowledge upon us. Even there, we are capable of understanding some while lacking the ability to understand others. Our ancestors had immense faith in Dharma and its practices. Even 150 to 200 years ago, people had staunch faith because they knew the reasons behind what Dharma stated. So they performed all the rituals with faith. This ability (faith) in people’s minds has become feeble over the last few years. This is because outsiders are attacking Dharma and trying to mislead the people here. Due to this, faith in Dharma is diminishing among Indians. It is imperative to awaken this faith. Such Adhiveshans are essential, and such work should happen everywhere.

Such programmes should always be organized

There should be unanimity (unity of sects) among all the followers of Sanatan Dharma. Such Adhiveshans are necessary to increase the faith of Hindus in Dharma and to protect Dharma by ensuring Hindus abide by Dharma.

We invoke Narayan, and our blessings are with all the participants in this sacred programme to create awareness among Hindus. ‘May the principles of Sanatan Dharma which are essential for the welfare of the world be discussed in this Adhiveshan, may the people become aware, and may such programs be organised always’. May this Adhiveshan proceed smoothly with the grace of the Jagadguru Shri Shri Shri Bharati Mahaswamiji, 36th Acharya of Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sharada Peetha. May every participant prosper.
