Pravachan on Ganesh Chathurthi held at Jai Maharashtra Ganesh Mandal

Ernakulam : Activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti were invited to speak on Ganesh Chathurthi and its importance at Jai Maharashtra Ganesh Mandal, Ernakulam. Sou. Avani Luktuke of HJS gave a brief introduction on the activities of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. Later Kum. Praneeta Sukhtankar spoke on the importance of Ganesh Chathurthi and Jyeshta Gauri vrat. About 120 ladies took part in the pravachan and took benefit of it.

Speaking on the occasion, Kum. Praneeta told the spiritual science behind celebrating Ganesh Chathurthi and Ganesh puja. She briefed about Jyesta Gauri vrat and its significance. Few ladies asked doubts on the topic and got it cleared.

The Ganesh Mandal had sponsored few flexes on Lord Ganesha and they were exhibited at the venue. Stall of Holy texts of Sanatan Sanstha and other satvik products were also displayed at the venue.

1 Many ladies came forward and visited the stall of spiritual books.
2. Many came forward to ask how to chant their Kuladevata’s Name.

Discourse on how to celebrate Ganeshotsav at Eroor in Ernakulam

Eroor : Under the banner of ‘Hindu Navothana Samiti’, Ganeshotsav was celebrated at Eroor and the immersion of idol took place on 27th August. Before the immersion of idol, a discourse was organised for the devotees present and activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti were called for the same.

Kum. Rashmi Parameshwaran of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti guided the devotees on importance of Ganesh Chaturthi and also on the spiritual sicence of various aspects of Lord Ganesh. Reasons on why to offer red flowers to Lord Ganesha, why to keep photo or idol of Lord Ganesh at the centre of the pooja temple at home, etc. were also explained. Along with it, various malpractices taking place in other places of Bharat in the name of Ganeshotsav and why it should be stopped, was also explained. Today, it is necessary to chant the Name of one’s family deity (Kuladevata) along with the Name of Lord Dattatreya. Information on how and why to chant it was also told. All the devotees were listening attentively.

At the venue of the discourse, flexes imparting dharmashikshan (knowledge on various aspects of dharma) were displayed.

Highlights

1. Few people expressed their desire to conduct such satsangs regularly.
2. Due to heavy rain at the time of discourse, people could not come to the venue of the discourse. After the rain stopped, they came to the venue and told the activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti that they were listening to the discourse while at home, through the loudspeaker.
