May 7, 2007

Shimoga: The 'World Gau Conference' was held during 21st to 29th April 2007 at Shimoga in Karnataka. More than a million people from within the country and abroad attended the conference. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) organized a photo-exhibition based on the photographs prepared by the organization called 'FACT'. A VCD prepared by 'FACT' was also shown at the conference. More than 20,000 Hindus visited the exhibition and viewed the atrocities meted out to Hindus in Kashmir. They were perturbed that the Government was paying no heed to such serious matter.

Shri. Pramod Mutalik, President of Sree Rama Sena said that the exhibition was very effective and has created a great impact in the conference. HJS has been doing a very good job of creating awareness among Hindus.

Swami Datta Sharananand Maharaj, the President of World Gau Conference said that he was thankful to HJS for enlightening Him on denigration of deities. He said that he would tell his disciples also about the same and will oppose such denigration in future.

Many leaders of Hindu organizations including RSS Chief Shri. Sudershanji visited the exhibition. He said that RSS is also engaged in similar activities like HJS.

(RSS has not reacted in any way to the paintings drawn by M F Hussain denigrating Hindu deities. The chief should first declare RSS stand in this matter.- Editor)
