An appeal by ‘Puri Pithadheeshwar’ Jagatguru Shankaracharya Nishchalanand Saraswati Maharaj to journalists !

Devad (Panvel) : Whenever any incident occurs related to nation or Dharma, a question is asked, what will Shankaracharya do ? Is it the duty of Shankaracharya or Dharmaguru to do something when some incident occurs ? What are you going to do ? Do not have a neutral role. You are also Hindu. Think that as a Hindu, what are you going to do? If media gives publicity to news in appropriate manner even for a month, the condition of this country will change. The above blunt opinion was expressed by ‘Purvanmaya Govardhan Mutt, Puri Pithadheeshwar Srimat Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswatiji Maharaj here today. He was speaking in a meeting organised for editors and journalists at Sanatan Ashram.

Journalists asked many questions on Hindu community, nation and Dharma seeking opinion of Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswati Maharaj. Shankaracharya frankly said that the directionless Government is only responsible for the harm caused to nation and Dharma. More than 32 journalists from various news channels and newspapers participated in these discussions.

To the question that ‘When Hindus are in majority in Bharat, why Hindu Rashtra is not established here?’, he said, “Hindus have no love and respect towards ‘Hindutva’, therefore, today, there is not a single Hindu Rashtra in the world. This country is surviving only because of the Hindus following customs and traditions as advised in Dharma. If Hindus stop abiding by Dharma and give up following customs and traditions as per Dharma, not only this country, but everything in the world will be destroyed; nothing will be left. Do not consider Hindus as weak. They are not weak but they are generous/ tolerant. Bhagavan Srikrushna has, however, said that the tolerance, generosity which makes weak one’s own existence, such generosity is worthless. Today, Hindus are directionless; therefore, the Government has made this country decrepit. Krushna had slain directionless Kansa. Arya Chanakya also ousted directionless rulers through the medium of Chandragupta. It required some time to achieve the same; even now, we will have to wait for some time so that we will never be mentally demoralised while establishing Hindu Rashtra.”

India’s image is getting maligned at international level through the hideous ways adopted by media and Government !

Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswati Maharaj said while answering a question about accusations against H. H. Asaram Bapu, “We should wait for Court’s verdict. We should see that injustice is not done to anyone in the name of justice even before Court takes decision. Media should not oppose anyone so much that he is branded as offender even before accusations against him are proved; because when that person is acquitted, irreparable harm is caused to him. Such things are not only insulting to one person but to the whole country and that too at international level. The country’s image is maligned. Directionless Government is responsible for such things. It is first necessary for everyone to know the conventional Saints. Media should support truth. Care should be taken that a person with good character is not unnecessarily blamed. Saints with good character are like Sun and air. They are not affected by accusations made against them. In fact, those who accuse them, have to cut sorry figure.

Even if there is opposition, one should be ready to fight for protection of Dharma and sacrifice life !

When one reporter expressed that when one is ready to work for protection of Dharma; but the management of the place where he work, imposes some restriction on them and they cannot do anything, Shankaracharya said, “We are giving excuses for not doing anything. Our Govardhan Mutt is also brought under two Acts of the Government and there is Government’s control; but the control is on an organisation and not on an individual. I can, therefore, work for Dharma without caring for anyone; then why you cannot do anything ? Like you, I can also give excuses and be neutral; but then who will think about Dharma ? For Dharma, if not I then who? If not today, then when ?, should be thinking of everyone. Remember that helplessness can also lead to revolution.

Jagatguru Shankaracharya Shri. Nishchalanand Saraswati Maharaj’s concept of Hindu Rashtra !

To declare to the world about cultured, educated, safe, prosperous, humble and pattern of healthy society and to secure it under human rights, is the concept of Hindu Rashtra.

We will work with Sanatan Sanstha after having discussions ! – Jagatguru Shankaracharya Nishchalanand Saraswati Maharaj

In the press conference, a reporter of ZEE News asked, “What will you say about Sanatan Sanstha ?” Jagatguru Shankaracharya Nishchalanand Saraswati Maharaj said in his reply, “Sanatan Sanstha’s seekers are working very nicely for the past 15 years. They have good character. Looking at all these, I had desire to meet the Guide of this Sanstha and now that opportunity has come. Sanatan Sanstha has planned programs which are appropriate for the post of Shankaracharya. We will be going to Goa where meeting with Sanstha’s Guide will take place. We will learn everything there. There will be exchange of thoughts and discussions and henceforth, we will plan to work together.”
