Narendra Modi announced as BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate

* Meeting at Advani's residence over. While leaving Advani's house, Sushma Swaraj said that there is no official word about a Parliamentary board meeting yet and that meetings are still on.

* Akali Dal leader Naresh Gujral says that the NDA stands united over Modi's PM candidature. A formal announcement is likely at 5 pm on Friday.

* According to television reports, a BJP source has said that LK Advani has informed Sushma Swaraj and Rajnath Singh that he will not be interested in working for the party if Modi is projected as the party's prime ministerial candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

* BJP President Rajnath Singh also calls Shriromani Akali Dal chief Parkash Singh Badal and informs him that Narendra Modi will be the party's prime ministerial candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

* BJP President Rajnath Singh calls Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray to inform him that BJP is nominating Narendra Modi as the prime ministerial candidate. A formal announcement is likely at 5 pm on Friday.

* Meanwhile, in a last ditch attempt to placate Advani, Nitin Gadkari has once again reached the leader's residence along with Sushma Swaraj.
