Hundreds Protested for Cow slaughter in north Delhi

New Delhi: VHP today protested against repeated killing of cows in the national capital. In the second incident in a fortnight period on the same place, half a dozen cows became victim of the negligence of the local administration & police, said VHP. The state General secretary of VHP Delhi Mr. Satyendra Mohan demanded immediate arrest of the culprits, action against policeman responsible for the crime & closer of all illegal butcher houses and meat shops in Delhi.

According to Vinod Bansal, media coordinator VHP Delhi we got the information about the incident around 6.30 AM today. Large number of VHP, Bajrang Dal activists and other local residents gathered at Nala near Lal Quarter area under Vijay Vihar Police station in North Delhi. They blocked the main road leading to Vijay Vihar for more then six hours in protest. RAF, Local police, ACP, DCP & other police & administrative officials rushed to the incident but the activists stopped police came to collect the carcasses & other cow remains from the place of incident.

When the VHP State Gen Secretary reached the place of incident and tried to persuade the agitators then only the traffic could be restored. He got assurance from the police official to nave the culprits & take action against the policemen responsible for the crime.

Mr. Laxman Dev of RSS, North Delhi VHP Secretary Rajendra Mohan Vashistha, district President Vishwa Nath Padey, secretary Tota Ram, co-secretary Ram ji Lal, Bajrang Dal Convenor Subodh Rawat & Uma Sankar, Sumer Singh, Ashu Mongiya, Renu Mongia and the local MLA Kulwant Rana were among those present I the protest.
