Futility of collective prayers made by ‘Christ Embassy’

Mumbai: A majority participation in the collective prayer meeting conducted by a Christian Missionary Organization named ‘Christ Embassy’ was of Hindus. It was claimed that incurable diseases would be cured with the help of prayers. At the meeting, Father Isaac Agarwal muttered a few prayers in the ears of deaf persons assembled near the dais. But they said that there was no improvement in their hearing impediment thus proving the futility of missionary’s prayers.

Father Agarwal, the Convener of the missionary organization ‘Christ embassy’ first requested all deaf persons attending the meeting to assemble near the dais. Accordingly, two women were taken near the stage. Father Agarwal said some prayers and gave a jerk with his hand and asked the lady members to take the two ladies outside the hall and check whether there was any improvement in their impediment. Both the women were taken outside. One of them said that her problem was as it was before. A lady member told her that she should have complete faith in Jesus and pray to him for being able to hear. She claimed that the process of curing the problem of deafness has already started. All the organizers were from Nigeria. They are planning to have a big program like the one organized when Father Benni Hin had visited India.

Therefore, to draw more crowds for their main meeting, they are planning to conduct such prayer meetings in Mumbai. Every participant was given a paper to fill in his details. When a Muslim person standing outside the hall was told about the meeting, he said that he was sure that not a single Muslim must be there in the meeting, as every Muslim knows that ‘Allah’ is only going to give us everything and they have faith in Allah.
