HC grants bail to 3 Hindu Rashtra Sena activists in Mohasin Sheikh’s murder case

Issue of riots at Hadpsar (Dist. Pune)

Pune : On 2nd June 2014, there were riots staged in Hadpsar area on the issue of defamation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the social website Facebook. In the stone-pelting resorted to during those riots, one person named Mohasin Sheikh Mohammad Sadik had died and Hindu Rashtra Sena’s President Dhananjay Desai along with 22 persons were arrested in this case. Three persons out of them have been granted bail by Mumbai High Court. Their names are Shubham Dattatreya Barde, Mahesh Maruti Khot and Abhishek alias Bunty Sayaji Chavan. Pune District Court had dismissed their petition for grant of bail (Strange justice ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Later, the 3 of them applied for grant of bail and High Court granted the same on 28th April.
