If illegal grave is not removed till October, Hindus will remove it : Ultimatum to Government

Enthusiastic women from Khadakgalli region participating in the Agitation

Belgaum (Karnataka) : Fanatics pelted stones on houses and shops in Khadakgalli area on the eve of Anant Chaturdashi. To protest this incident and with a demand to take action against culprits, the agitation was carried out by BJP, some politicial parties and Hindus at District Collector’s office. Activists of Shri Shivpratishthan, Sriram Sene, Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti participated in the agitation. Government and administration should immediately remove illegal grave until October, else Hindus will unite and destroy it, was the warning given by all Hindu organisations.

District Collector Shri. N. Jairam was absent at the time of agitation and hence representation was handed over to officer Shri. Pravin Bagewadi. As there was ban on raising slogans, agitation was carried out in a peaceful way. There was notable presence of women residing in Khadakgalli. Fanatics come for prayers under the false pretext of a grave at Khanjar galli and Lakshmi Market. A meeting of local residents, Hindu activists and others was held on 29th september and it was decided to carry out agitation on 30th september. It was also decided to form an action committee against riots in the same meeting.
