Ashadh Shuddha Pratipada

Are we living in any Mulsim country where Hindus are dying in the clashes with Muslims which occured due to Land Transfer to Amarnath Temple Trust!

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh):
Atleast two people were killed and several other injured in clashes during a bandh called by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its ally Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in the State on Thursday in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh.

Clashes were also reported in other towns during the shutdown in protest of the Jammu and Kashmir government’s decision to cancel the allotment of forest land to the Amarnath shrine board.

The Indore administration has put four police station areas including Mukeripura, Bombay Bazaar, Pandrinath and Chhatripura under curfew and section 144 CrPC – prohibiting gathering of more than four persons at a place – has been imposed in Khajarana area to control the situation.

The situation is also tense in old Bhopal where stone pelting and arson took place as pro and anti-bandh supporters clashed, police said. About half-a-dozen vehicles were also set on fire by the activists near Bhopal Talkies. There was also violence near old Bhopal’s bus stand area and adjacent localities when BJP, VHP and Shiv Sena activists forced the shopkeepers to down their shutters.

They beat up some shopkeepers and a few passersby and torched a few vehicles.

Angry over the forced closure, some people threw stones at them from the rooftops of their houses, triggering minor communal clashes.

Authorities later deployed personnel from the Rapid Action Force (RAF) to control the situation.

Clashes between people belonging to two communities also occurred in other parts of Old Bhopal including Shahjehanabad, Budhwara, Itwara and Karond.

According to reports, clashes between the workers of the BJP and the VHP and some shopkeepers also took place in Jabalpur, Indore and Dhar. Several shops were damaged in Jabalpur.

Though government offices and banks functioned as usual, educational institutions were closed.

The police have been deployed in full force at all sensitive places across the state and the situation was tense at several places but under control, senior police officers said.

VHP thanks Hindus for Bharat Band agitation

July 3, 2008

Jyeshtha Amawasya

Press Release By Dr. Pravin Togadiya

Responding to spontaneous Bharat Bandh against J&K govt grabbing Amarnath Land, all Hindus in Bharat observed democratic band & VHP thanks them for standing up for Bhagwan Amarnath.

Right from Jammu to Jharkhand, Pune to Patna & Gujarat to Goa, Hindus observed spontaneous band. This shows that Bharat is with Hindus & henceforth Bharat will not tolerate any injustice to Hindus & protest democratically.

During Rameshwaram Ramsetu andolan & today’s ‘Save Amarnath from Jihadis’ andolan, VHP has noticed that some anti-social elements in some states like M.P., Gujarat, Punjab etc misguide media by using VHP, Bajarang Dal names for doing their own violence & for settling their own personal enmity. VHP appeals all media to verify with VHP’s HQ in New Delhi before reporting. VHP denies any reasonability of any criminal activities during spontaneous Bharat Band that may have been done by the people not from VHP. VHP also points out that any such misreporting amounts to criminal defamation.

VHP declares All India protest week in which there will be Dharna Pradarshan Rally .Saints will take march to PM and Governor for demand of land for Baba Amarnath.

Once again, VHP thanks all Hindus & all the media who stand with Bhagwan Amarnath.

Amarnath Land Transfer issue: VHP calls Bharat bandh

New Delhi:  With the Jammu and Kashmir government revoking its order on transfer of land for the Amarnath shrine, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) called an all-India shutdown on July 3 on Tuesday to protest against it. The VHP also demanded scrapping of subsidy on Haj pilgrimage.

"Haj subsidy must be cancelled. No flights for Haj should be sent as it is wastage of precious fuel the cost of which has to be borne from the taxpayers," VHP general secretary Pravin Togadia told reporters.

Along with the demand for scrapping Haj subsidy, the VHP demanded that the Jammu and Kashmir government revoke its order cancelling the allotment of 40 hectares of land allotted to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).

It has given a call for a peaceful all-India bandh on July 3 to press for its demand. VHP will also take out vehicle rallies all across the country on July 2.

Togadia also demanded that all Haj houses in the country be taken back by the government and converted into charity hospitals for the poor.
