Madgao (Goa): The Minister for Urban Development Shri Churchill Alemao has accused the clergy of misguiding the public about his political moves, during his address at the Vanamahotsav celebrations in Navelim. He said that he was the first to protest against screening of the blasphemous movie ‘The Da Vinci Code’. “No member of the clergy had objected to this. Now they are indulging in false propaganda that I have joined the Congress. I reiterate here that I have not joined the Congress and are still a part of the ‘Save Goa Front’. I am prepared to do anything for the sake of the people”. He also made a comment that the clergy should stay out of politics.
