Missionary arrested for spreading Christianity at railway Station

Mumbai: Shri. Devang Bilakhia, a traveler, was given pamphlets by Christian missionary on the Mulund railway platform. The missionary also gave him a book titled ‘Will the world be saved from destruction?’ The missionary told Shri. Bilakhia, "If you want to protect yourself from destruction, surrender to Jesus; else you will perish. What is there in Hindu Dharma? Only Christianity will save you. Convert to Christianity. There is only God in this world and that is Jesus."

Devout Hindus tried to lodge a complaint against the missionary; but police made them run from pillar to post; when they finally warned the police of staging demonstrations, police arrested the missionary. Before that, police made the complainants go from Mulund railway police station to Mulund’s reserved police force. After going there, they were asked to go to reserved police at Kurla who again asked them to go to Mulund railway police station. Police officer at railway police station, Mulund said that it was offence against religion and is not covered under Railway Police Act.

The police advised the complainants to settle the matter amicably. Police threatened them of taking them also into custody. Many representatives of VHP, Bajarang Dal, Hindu Manav Adhikar Manch, Hindu janajagruti Samiti were present. The members told the police that how could they be taken into custody unless police registeres false charges against them. They also warned the police that if police takes such action, they will stage demonstrations. Finally, the police registered FIR.

(Hindus must take such action that missionaries’ activities will be curbed. Hindus must unite and retaliate; otherwise time will come that they will have to go to church every Sunday. – Editor)
