DSP orders probe into anti-social activities of Christians

Navi Mumbai: Christian Missionaries have put up posters at many places in Sanpada in Navi Mumbai claiming to cure all incurable diseases. It is their ploy to convert the afflicted people. Reading these posters, members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) went to the scene and observed malpractices going on there. They also brought the matter to the notice of the police. The Dy. Police Commissioner of Konkan Division has issued orders to probe this serious matter and prepare a report.

In Sanpada area, posters have been put up that "Any problems in life like sickness, divorce, drug-addiction can be solved only by Jesus Christ". On reading these posters, Shri Shivaji Vatkar, Mumbai district coordinator of HJS along with other members visited the address given in the poster. They found a foreigner reading something from a book and an Indian translating the matter in Hindi. They were telling people gathered there, "You surrender to Jesus. He is the only one who will remove all the obstacles for you. Those who have earnestly prayed to Him have been freed of all problems. Life without Him is a waste." The members of HJS told about it to the police who were nearby. The police asked them to go to the police station. The HJS members contacted Konkan Div. (Intelligence) Branch and were advised to inform the senior Inspector Shri. Gore. HJS members narrated every thing to him. Later the Deputy Police Commissioner assured them that he would prepare a report on this serious issue and send it to the Government. HJS had informed other Hindu organizations but none of them came.

(Such organizations have no right to call themselves as devouts. Why will Dharma i.e. God protect such people? We need police who find for themselves such malpractices rather than the public bringing it to their notice. This is difference between the great Hindu Dharma that preaches living through one’s destiny and Christian religion that lure people with a bait of solutions to all problems.  – Editor)
