Goa govt announces grant-in-aid to Sanskrit Patshalas & Kendras

Panaji: The Goa government has announced Grant-in-Aid to recognised Sanskrit Patshalas and Kendras in the State functioning on the line of traditional residential Gurukuls to ‘encourage the promotion of Sanskrit Language and Sanskrit Veda’ in Goa.

The grant-in-aid will comprise of salary and non salary grants.

The institutions will be granted 100 % Salary Grant, yearly maintenance grant of Rs 5 lakh for Sanskrit Pathshalas and Rs one lakh for Sanskrit Kendras, Mess Grants or Food Expenses grant of Rs 70 per student etc.
