Christians forced temple demolition!

Satara: District Collector of Satara has issued orders to demolish the ‘Gram-devata, Janananimata’ temple in Mahabaleshwar. All local residents worship the deity. This has triggered a wave of enragement in the town and the locals decided to observe ‘bandh’. They have also demanded arrest of Daniel Raja, the trustee of ‘American Christian Missionary Church’ who has requested for demolition of the temple.

The temple of the ‘Gram-devata’ is in existence since the British rule. Daniel submitted distorted data about the repairs carried out in the temple and its premises and demanded to take action against the construction. He also twisted the facts and lodged a complaint with the Minority Commission so also demanded to file a court-case if no action was taken. The Minority Commission therefore, took the District Officer to task and ordered to demolish the construction under police security. Daniel’s objection has jeopardized communal harmony. Former District-President of Shiv Sena has warned of self-immolation in case the temple is demolished.

(Christians have dared to ask for such demolition only because of undue pampering. It is time Hindus get united and fight against outsiders’ attacks so that they do not dare to cast evil eye on Hindu places of worship. – Editor)
