Protests against the movie ‘Pathan’ in many cities across the country

New Delhi : After the release of the movie ‘Pathan’ across the country, it is being protested in many cities. In some cities of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Bengal, etc., protests have been held outside the theaters and shows have also been stopped. There have also been incidents of tearing down posters of the film.

The opposition of Hindu organizations has intensified. At the same time, the multiplex operators who are releasing the film have expressed the possibility of sabotage.

1. Morning shows of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer “Pathaan” were cancelled at some theatres in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore city on the day of the film’s release on Wednesday following protests by right-wing organisations.  Activists of the Hindu Jagran Manch showed saffron flags at Sapna-Sangeeta cinema hall here in protest against the movie and recited Hanuman Chalisa

2. In Gwalior, Bajrang Dal has threatened to set fire to a cinema hall.

3. In Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, Hindu Mahasabha activists protested on January 24 and warned that the film would not be released.

4. A movie theater was pelted with stones in Kalburgi, Karnataka.

5. Just a day before its release, posters of the film ‘Pathaan’ were torn and burnt outside a cinema hall in Bihar’s Bhagalpur on Tuesday. Bajrang Dal and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists protested outside the theatre.
