Stringent laws are required to stop denigration of Hindus’ Deities happening not only in Hindi films but also through films in other regional Indian languages! – Editor

Bhagyanagar : A trailer of Telugu film ‘Ippudu kaka inkeppudu (If not now, then when?)’ has been released. It was observed that ‘Bhaja Govindam, Bhaja Govindam’, the holy verse composed by Adi Shankaracharya was played in the background of one lewd scene in this film. There was also denigration of Bhagavan Shrikrushna through one of the dialogues in the film. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and other pro-Hindu organisations jointly opposed to such denigration. The objectionable parts have since been removed from this film and the film director has also rendered a public apology.

1.The trailer of ‘Ippudu kaka inkeppudu’ was released on 1st August when it was observed that there was denigration of the sacred Sanskrut stotra ‘Bhaja Govindam, Bhaja Govindam’. Shri. Chetan Janardan, the State Coordinator of HJS for Telangana sent a post on ‘Whats App’ making an appeal to jointly take up this matter.

2.On the same day, the office bearers of the organisations such as HJS, ‘Sri Adibatla Sri Kala Peetam’, ‘Sri rama rajyam Adhyatmika Chaitanya Vedika’, Hare Krishna Foundation etc met Mr Prasanna Kumar, the Secretary of ‘Telugu Film Producers’ Council’ and submitted a memorandum to him in this context. He took initiative and promptly discussed the matter with the film producers and asked them to remove the objectionable parts from this film.

3.The Film Censor Board was informed about the objectionable scenes in the film. The Board also promised to stop the denigration.

4.On the same day, the concerned office bearers related to this film called the activists of pro-Hindu organisations for discussions. They apologised for use of the stotra at a misappropriate place and informed about removing the objectionable parts from the film.

5. Later, it was observed in this film’s trailer shown on ‘Aditya Music’ and ‘M S Entertainment’ youtube channels that the objectionable parts were removed.

6. Telugu Film Producers’ Council (TFPC)’s secretary Prasanna Kumar has released a video on TFPC’s official youtube channel, rendering an apology for the mistake of using the stotra ‘Bhaja Govindam Bhaja Govindam’ in an improper manner.

7. This film’s director Y. Yugandhar has also uploaded a video on social media rendering an apology.

Highlights

1.After sending a post on the ‘Whats App’ group regarding denigration in the film, ‘Sri rama rajyam Adhyatmika Chaitanya Vedika’s President AndakondaRamudu promptly responded to the post.

2.Karate Kalyani is a famous actress. She invited the devout Hindu activists at her home for discussions on the objectionable part and responded positively towards removal of the denigration.

3.Many devout Hindus registered their protest with the film’s director and respective YouTube channel regarding such denigration.

4.Within only 6 hours, this film’s producers and director rendered an apology and removed the objectionable parts of this film. HJS and other pro-Hindu organisations paid gratitude to Bhagavan Shrikrushna for His grace.

Disgraceful denigration of Shrikrushna in the film !

It was observed in the trailer of this film that there is a dialogue between a husband and wife wherein the husband tells his wife to dress their son as Shriram but the wife dresses the son like Shrikrushna. The husband then tells his wife that Shriram was ‘Ek- Vachani (one who always keeps his words)’ and ‘Ek – Patni (one who is devoted to a single wife)’. Shrikrushna has a flute in His hand. As there are holes on the flute, Shrikrushna had 16000 holes (Shrikrushna had 16000 wives which the husband said in the most disgracing manner and maligned Shrikrushna’s character.)
