Govt. wakes up to denigration of deities and national heroes

Panvel: A representation was given to the State Govt. by HJS about denigration of deities and national heroes by having their pictures on crackers. On behalf of the Govt Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) has taken notice of the representation.

Pictures of deities and national heroes on crackers are ripped to shreds when such crackers are burst and they re trampled on the roads causing denigration of both. For the past 4 years, HJS has been conducting a campaign against such denigration. The representation given to the State Govt. had some points suggested to prevent the denigration. On behalf of the Govt, PESO has taken a note of the representation and has replied to HJS that the matter is under serious consideration of the State Department.
