Nandurbar : Recently an HJS delegation met the SP Mahendra Pandit here and presented a petition requesting the administration to stop the malpractices that take place during Navratri and to ensure that the festival is celebrated in an ideal manner. The SP assured the delegation that those who indulge in malpractices during Navaratri and in the area around Khodaimata temple will be dealt with stringently. Dr. Narendra Patil, Dr. Satish Bagul, Shri. Akash Gavit, Shri. Mayur Chaudhari and others were present.

What does the petition say ?

Today many malpractices have made their way into navaratri celebrations. Each year newspapers carry news of increasing immoral activities. This has cause immense harm to society, Nation & Dharma. Along with this there is the ever present danger of terrorists and antionals. There is always a possibility of an unknown person or religious fanatic making their way into a densely crowded area of the festival and creating havoc. So the administration should make suitable arrangements to check and verify the identity of all those who are coming to the Navaratri celebrations.
