Quepem (Goa): The Crime Branch, who has been investigating the idol desecration incident at Sree Mahadev temple in Quepem taluka, arrested one Riyaaz Shaikh, resident of Shirvai, Quepem.
Cuncolim (Goa): The locals of Cuncolim received an overwhelming response for the ‘Cuncolim Bandh’ called in to protest against the failure of the police to nab the culprits who desecrated the dome of the Sree Rakhandev Aajoba temple.

Two temples were damaged in the twin towns of Sanvordem-Curchorem in South Goa late on Tuesday night. Unidentified persons broke "religious symbols" at the temples, situated five kilometres away from each other, said the police.
