James Laine Issue: HJS agitates in Panvel

Panvel (Maharashtra): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) staged demonstrations at Khanda Colony to protest against the perverted matter written by James Laine in connection with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Mr. Liladhar Bhoir, Shiv Sena city-chief said, “This book should be banned not only in Maharashtra but all over the country. Shiv Sena will take part in the campaign started by HJS in this regard. Shri. Milind Poshe of HJS said, “Lifting the ban on the book has been an insult of all Indians and Shivaji-devotees by the Supreme Court. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is an identity of Hindus. Rather than playing politics in such matters, all parties should come together and compel the Central Government to re-impose the ban on the above book.”

Mr. Hemant Pujari, Dy. City-chief of Shiv Sena, Mrs. Abhaya Upadhye, Mr. Vasane, Mr. Alhad Malgaonkar, Mr. Balawant Pathak also spoke on the occasion. There were more than 60 Shivaji Maharaj devotees participating in the agitations.
