Panvel (Maharashtra): If Hindus unite and start protesting then their united voice will reach the government. Affairs such as cows sold to butchers and malicious history textbooks can then be opposed in unison. This statement was made by H.B.P Ganesh Maharaj, Shadvikar Nirmulan Payi Dindi Organiser yesterday at Moho (Tal. Panvel)

To protest the selling of 2 cows, which were donated by devotees, by Pandharpur’s Vitthal-Rukmini Temple Committee to butchers, a protest procession was organized by Hindu Janjagruti Samiti yesterday evening at Shivaji Chowk, Khanda Colony, Panvel. He was talking on this occasion.

Hindus were present in large numbers in this procession. By selling the cows who are most sacred to Hindus, the Mandir Committee has intentionally opposed righteousness. This is the result of bringing the temple under the control of the government. We should strongly oppose this policy of the government to bring temples under government control, file cases against the Government Samiti for hurting the religious sentiments and creating social unrest and ask the government to dismiss the temple committee and hand over management of the temple to the devotees. These demands were made in this protest procession.

In addition to this, the malicious Congress government has included in NCERT’s history text books the complete history of Mughal Emperors but by including only 6 sentences on Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has insulted him. Information about this was given to all those who were present. Shrimati Usha Sharma, District Head of Gayatri Parivar said, “Through the medium of a cow one gets the blessings of 33 crore gods; with this positive feelings devotees donated cows to the temple; but the temple committee has insulted the devotees by selling the cows to butchers. This implies this government cannot protect cows, so how can it protect the culture of Hindus?

Highlights

During this procession a large contingent of police and intelligence officers had been deputed.
