HJS asks Govt. to act on Christian institutes that teach methods of religious conversion as a ‘subject’

New Delhi : ‘Few educational institutes are trying to introduce curriculum for directly teaching methods of conversions; therefore, the Government act against such institutions,’ was the demand made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) during demonstrations staged as a part of Rashtriya Hindu Andolan; besides placing a demand for prevention of misconduct on the eve of 31st December, the New Year of Christians. Many devout Hindus and members of different organizations like Bharat Swabhiman, Swadeshi Jagaran Manch and Sanatan Sanstha etc. participated in the demonstrations.

Shri. Suresh Munjal, the District Coordinator of HJS for Punjab and Haryana said that under Hindu Dharma, every action is advised to be done after remembering God; then how can we start new year by consuming liquor and taking part in indecent dancing etc. in the night of 31st December ? He explained the importance of celebrating New Year on Gudi Padva i.e. Chaitra Shukla paksha Pratipada. Shri. Munjal also demanded that the Government close down institutes which are carrying out conversions in the name of education. Shri. Vijendra Rawat of Bharat Swabhiman, Shri. Makarand Tambe and Shri. Digvijay Singh; besides Shri. Lalit Sharma, a social worker and Kum. Kruttika Khatri of Sanatan Sanstha addressed the demonstrators.
