Uddhav Thackeray backs Yogi Adityanath, says `Love Jihad` a conspiracy to destroy Hindu culture

Endorsing Yogi Adityanath's recent statements, Thackeray opined : "Love Jihad is an international conspiracy to destroy the Hindu culture.”

Mumbai : The fierce comments regarding 'Love Jihad' made by controversial Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Yogi Adityanath have found support from another firebrand leader Uddhav Thackeray.

In Shiv Sena's editorial mouthpiece Saamna, party president Uddhav Thackeray said, "Hindu girls are trapped and then forcibly converted after marriage."

Endorsing Yogi Adityanath's recent statements, Thackeray opined : "Love Jihad is an international conspiracy to destroy the Hindu culture.”

He further cited RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's statement where he said that Hindu girls should beware of 'love jihad'. "Hindus in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand are angry about this issue and he (Adityanath) is voicing their anger," the editorial said backing the BJP leader.

It further said that those who have called for this kind of jihad should be taught a lesson.

"Terrorist organisations across the world have called for jihad against Hindustan," it said, adding, that terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Toiba, SIMI, al Qaeda aim to destroy the secular fabric of the country.

"If Hindus are not going to wake up and if the governments are not going to act against those behind 'love jihad', it won't be long before the jihadis' plans succeed," the editorial said.

Recently, an undated video posted on YouTube showed Yogi Adityanath exhorting Hindu men to convert 100 Muslim girls to Hindusim for each Hindu converted to Islam.

The 42-year-old MP, who is also a vocal and firebrand Hindutva leader, is one of the three star campaigners for the 11 state Assembly and one parliamentary seat in Uttar Pradesh scheduled for September 13.
