‘Rulers of this country will sell even this country for their selfish interests’

Mumbai : “The country, which indifferently watches the symbol of valour exhibited by their ancestors being sold in scrap, is the most wretched and perverse country. Politicians of such country will not hesitate to even put freedom of their country in jeopardy and sell their self-respect for nurturing own selfish interests”, Shri. Uddhav Thackeray, through an Editorial published in ‘Dainik Saamna’ under the heading ‘O valiant Vikrant, please forgive us !’, has rendered an apology.

Points mentioned in the Editorial

1. Alas ! The Government has finally disposed of our war-ship ‘Vikrant’ in scrap. An auction of identity and bravery of our country was held right in the market. Doesn’t poor Maharashtra and Central Government have even Rs. 60 crores to save ‘Vikrant’ ? Such act has put every patriotic Indian to shame.
2. The ‘Tri-colour’ is shedding tears ! Souls of brave warriors of our Motherland are also floundering. How will the Indian Government that could not look after one ‘Vikrant’, look after the country and protect it ?
3. Sonia Gandhi is listed amongst the first 5 rich women in the world. Her son-in-law Robert Vadera owns property worth 5000- 10,000 crores. There are at least 110 candidates contesting this Parliamentary election, who have properties worth Rs. 200 to 500 crores. One candidate can spend Rs. 100 crores; but none of them came forward carrying flame of patriotism, to save and preserve ‘Vikrant’. If your money is not available for welfare of this country, then what is the use of such riches ?
4. Our Navy had sent requests and memoranda every now and then; but the Government failed to preserve ‘Vikrant’; for this, the rulers should be dragged in front of Gateway of India and be given a hard slap.
5. The Government, which can easily spend Rs. 200 – 500 crores over Muslims, does not have Rs. 60 crores for ‘Vikrant’; so is selling it in scrap; but nobody feels ashamed about the same. ‘Vikrant’ that saved our country is being sold in scrap. Is this our country ? Is this roar of your national identity ? In country with such rulers, Pakistanis are bound to come and behead our soldiers to exhibit them in Lahore – Karachi ! In such country, either Kasab or Afzal are ceratin to enter and kill you !’
