Devad (Panvel, Maharashtra) : On 19th November at 7.00 a.m., ‘Purvanmaya Govardhan Mutt, Puri Pithadheeshwar Srimat Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswatiji Maharaj arrived at Devad (Ashram), Panvel. Sanatan’s Saints, ‘suvasisni’s carrying lamp and ‘aarti’ along with Sanatan’s other seekers welcomed him with total surrender ‘bhav’. Swami Nirvikalpananda Saraswati, personal Secretary of Shankaracharya, Acharya Pundit Zamman shastriji, the Vice President of ‘Puri Peetha Parishada’ and his other disciples are accompanying him. With the presence of Shankaracharya, Hindus’ Dharmaguru of the highest order, learned and full of Kshatra-tej, Sanatan’s ashram has become blessed. On getting his ‘darshan’, seekers also felt blessed as if they have attained their goal.

Sanatan’s Poojya Rajendra Shinde welcomed Jagatguru Shankaracharya Maharaj and other dignitaries. Dr. Suhas Haldipurkar, famous ophthalmologist from Panvel and the founder of Lakshmi Charitable Trust garlanded him whereas Sanatan’s seeker, Sou. Arpita Pathak and Sou. Tanuja Gadgil did ‘aukshan’. A ‘flex’ board was aexhibited outside the ashram welcoming him. A board was displayed in the ashram on which it was written a very beautiful handwriting as ‘Shankaracharyana Sadhakan tarphe koti koti pranam ! (Obeisance to Shankaracharya from Sanatan seekers). When fruits were offered to Jagatguru Shankaracharya Maharaj, he asked seekers to distribute them amongst all as ‘prasad ’.  

Spiritual Diwali in ashram !

There is a saying that – ‘Sadhu-Sant Yeti Gharaa, tochi Diwali Dasara ! (Visit of Saints is like a festival / celebration) which the seekers experienced literally. The area of ashram was lit with oil-lamps. From early morning of 19th November only, there was hustle bustle in the ashram. All seekers were wearing traditional clothes. Soft music played in the ashram were adding to sanctity of the atmosphere in the ashram.

1. Sanatan’s Saints H.H. Parashuram Pande, Poojya Rajendra Shinde, Poojya Padmakar Honap, Poojya Mahadev Nakate, Poojya Sudamrao Shende, Poojya Sadashiv (Bhau) Parab, Poojya Ramesh Gadkari and Poojya (Sou.) Anjali Gadgil were present to welcome Jagatguru Shankracharya Maharaj.

2. Srimat Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand Saraswatiji Maharaj has brought ‘paduka’ of Adya Shankaracharya and Saints and seekers had ‘darshan’ of the ‘padukas’. Spiritual emotion was awakened among many seekers while having ‘darshan’.

Everything is nice in Sanatan ashram. There is ‘bhav’ among seekers, they are practising spirituality. After coming here, I felt like I have come home. There is no problem. You tell your Gurudev that everything is fine here. We are happy with all the arrangements.
