Pune – For the past 11 years, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has been undertaking a drive for prevention of abuse of national flags. On 26th January 2009, Shri. Sunil Ghanavat, the present State Coordinator of HJS for Maharashtra and other 3 activists had gone to ‘Faraskhana Police Station under the jurisdiction of ‘Shukrawar Peth Police Station (Pune)’ with the intention of lodging a complaint against abuse of national flag as a part of this drive. That time, instead of registering their complaint, Police beat them up, filed false charges against them and even arrested them. (Demonic police in secular Congress regime ! Instead of preventing abuse of national flag as part of their duty, police beat up patriotic activists of HJS who were trying to prevent such abuse. What kind of law and order will such police provide ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

The activists have been released free of all charges. (This has been a good slap for police who not only beat up HJS activists unnecessarily; but also filed false charges against them. It has, however, wasted valuable time and money of activists which could have been utilized in activities for welfare of this country; besides the mental and physical distress they had to go through. Now, who is going to make good such loss for them ? Police will certainly have to face the consequences of the sin of harassing these activists, committed by them! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Police involved in beating up and arrest of Shri. Sunil Ghanavat and other activists –

1. V. P. Pawar, the then Police Inspector (PI), Faraskhana Police Station
2. Dhumal, Assistant PI, Ravivar Peth Police Station
3. Sou. Vimal Badave, Assistant PI, Shukrawar Peth Police Station
