Hindus should offer gratitude at the feet of God for this success !

Mumbai : The famous Siddhivinayak Temple at Prabhadevi, Mumbai distributes packets of ‘prasad (holy sacrament)’ with ‘laddus and coconut barfi’; but the devotees do not come to know about the condition of this ‘prasad’. It is likely that devotees might consume such ‘Prasad’ which has become putrid; causing adverse effect on their health. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), therefore, wrote a letter to the Trust demanding to print ‘expiry date’ of such holy sacrament on the packets. The Temple Trust has informed HJS that their demand has been accepted. Some devotees had complained to HJS about the said problem. Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, the Coordinator of HJS wrote a letter to Siddhivinayak Temple Trust bringing to their notice that it was obligatory to indicate expiry date on the cover of every perishable item under ‘Food Safety and Standards Regulation’ in India. Accordingly, it was necessary for Siddhivinayak Mandir Trust to print ‘expiry date’ on packets of ‘Prasad’; but the Trust did not give any reply even after HJS sent reminders to this letter. Shri. Vatkar, therefore, wrote to Shri. Mangesh Shinde from the Trust drawing his attention to the issue. Shri. Shinde replied to HJS that the Trust would be carrying out necessary changes in this regard. Necessary changes will also be carried out in machines used for packing the ‘prasad’. HJS has been thanked by the Trust for giving very important suggestion.
