Successful conclusion of movement to protect Khadakvasala Dam !

Hindus should pay gratitude at the feet of Srikrushna for this success !

Khadakvasala (Dist. Pune, Maharashtra) : The movement undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) every year for protection of water Dam at Khadakvasala was carried out successfully even this year. On the day of ‘Dhuli-vandan’ and ‘Rang-panchami’, youth smeared with colours came to the dam for taking bath; but the activits of HJS and employees of Cummins India Pvt. Ltd. , who participated in the movement this year, created awareness amongst people; therefore, not a single person got into the dam. Thus, in the background of severe drought in Maharashtra, the likely pollution of Khadakvasala Dam was prevented on ‘Dhuli-vandan’ and ‘Rang-panchami’ concluding it successfully on 31st March. (A small organisation like HJS can successfully undertake the movement for more than a decade; but the powerful pro-Hindu organizations remain indifferent towards this movement ! The success is possible due to the divine base that HJS has. Will members of the powerful pro-Hindu organisatins realize this and start undertaking spiritual practice? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

The volunteers had made a chain around the dam; they were holding posters on the subject and creating awareness amongst youth who were coming there to have bath. Many people lauded the campaign undertaken by HJS and showed interest in joining the same. More than 75 activists of HJS and 12 employees of Cummins India Pvt. Ltd took part in the movement.

Highlights

1. Dr. Budhajirao Mulik, a senior agriculturist, Trupti Desai, a social activist, Shri. Gulabrao Dedage, Trustee of ‘Parivartan’ a social organisation paid a visit to the Cell erected on this occasion and extended support.

2. Shri. Nitin Wagh, former member of Khanapur Gram-panchayat also participated in this movement. He too explained the subject to people creating awareness in them.

3. Instructions were displayed on the boards that ‘Irrigation Department has prohibited people from going down the Dam and police will take action against those who break the rule’.

Local residents also happy due to protection of culture !

Twelve years back, many malpractices used to take place on the day of ‘Dhuli-vandan’ and ‘Rang-panchami’ in the area of Khadakvasala Dam. People used to throw colours at each other and have bath in the water dam, teasing women; throwing water-filled balloons at each other, driving rashly and making lot of noise on the occasion. For the past 12 years, however, HJS has been undertaking this movement on the above two days. Cotinuous awareness created by HJS has stopped these malpractices and in a way protected our culture. The locl residents have, therefore, lauded the drive undertaken by HJS.

Hindus helping HJS activists !

2. Shri. Prasad Paygude and Nikhil Paygude of ‘Amruteshwar Pratishthan’ from Donaje provided snacks for activists.
