‘Peace Festival 2009’ – Hindus lured towards Christianity

Ambarnath (Dist. Thane): ‘Peace Festival 2009’ program was organized at Circus Grounds in Ambarnath during 21st to 24th May 2009 which was attended by nearly 800 people. It once again brought to light the true ploy behind the program and that was to lure Hindus and evangelize them. Last year, similar program was conducted in Hindi and English; but the organizers, this year, made use of even Marathi to attract local people to the program. The program started at 6.00 p.m. in which Octavia Nevis, a speaker of international fame was invited. A short film on the incidents from life of Jesus Christ was shown. That depicted how he was crucified and later, his renaissance was shown in the film followed with a dance item. Few persons narrated their experiences on how praying to Jesus Christ helped them to get cured of ailments like piles, problems of spinal cord, legs, waist etc. There were many persons among them bearing Marathi names.

Pastor Wilson George said that Jesus has answers for all questions; Jesus has cure for all types of diseases and solution to all problems. (If that is so, then why do Christians, believing in Jesus, undertake spiritual practice followed by different spiritual sects in search of bliss? Does Pastor Wilson George have a reply to this question? – Editor). He said, “When you are happy, the devils (negative energies) cry but if you cry, the devils (negative energies) become happy.” Thereafter, he prayed loudly to Jesus, “I am handing over to you people who have gathered here. I give order to those suffering from negative energies’ problems to bend down, bend down, and leave.” Many people felt distress after this and they were brought near the stage. They calmed down after some time. Later, they were asked to kneel down in a row and bow thrice by touching their foreheads to the ground. After this, they were told that the negative energies had left them. (Where are members of Andha-shraddha Nirmulan Samiti (ANS) when such things are happening in public programs? Or, do they see superstitions only in programs held by Hindus? – Editor)

What does ANS has got to say in the matter?

Posters advertising the above program were displayed at various places like railway stations, trains etc. It was mentioned in this pamphlet that those who are ill, may pray to Jesus and negative energies troubling them would leave.
