History was crafted in such manner that we would feel ashamed to be known as a Hindu Rashtra ! – Sharad Ponkshe

  • True history can be brought forth only when all history-lovers, Hindus and Indians unite !

  • Sanskrit language was banished

Sambhajinagar : History of this country and States was taught as was seen from the eyes of the British. It is basically distorted history but even today, same history is taught. History was crafted in such manner that we would feel ashamed to be known as a Hindu Rashtra, stated Shri. Sharad Ponkshe, an actor and patron of Swatantryaveer Savarkar. During a program held on 16th November at ‘Sant Eknath Rangmandir’ on the subject of ‘Remembering revolutionaries and ideology of Savarkar’; on behalf of ‘Swatantrate Bhagavati Samajik Sanstha’.

He said that instead of teaching history of the first Bajirao who won 41 battles and Tatya Tope, history of Alexander is taught. A Marathi person named Talapade had invented aeroplane but instead teaching this true history, it was taught that Wright Brothers invented aeroplane. History was written in the way the British wanted it to be written. After independence, Sanskrit language was banished and so far, English language has been given preference. It would have been better if knowledge passed on verbally by Sages was taught.
