Illegal ‘Entry’ charge levied by police on outside vehicles coming to Akkalkot; devotees looted !

Constant anti-Hindu actions of police result in Hindus developing apathy towards police ! Will police show guts to levy such entry-charge on Muslims or Christians ? Hindus expect stringent action by the Govt. against police, looting devotees in this manner !

Akkalkot (Solapur) : Akkalkot is known as pilgrimage place for Shri. Swami Samartha Maharaj. Large number of devotees visit this place even from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh etc. besides Maharashtra travelling by vehicles registered in other States. Now, Akkalkot city and ‘Gramin’ police have started levying entry-charge on vehicles coming from other States under the guise of checking of vehicles; causing unnecessary fine for devotees. Police Administration has appointed staff of Traffic police for checking registration papers and prevention of traffic jams. Many vehicles come from other States. Police stop such vehicles in the name of checking and levy entry-charge. Thus, police are looting devotees through this medium every day. (It is the duty of traffic police to have control over vehicles. Is such charge levied to enter a crowded city like Mumbai ? Then, why such charge is recovered only at pilgrimage places of Hindus ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Dy. regional police officer Krushnakant Upadhyay said that it was wrong to harass pilgrims in this manner. Necessary instructions would be given to traffic police and devotees too can contact police in case they were being harassed by the police.
