Chinchwad : At immersion ‘ghat’ in Kakade Park, Shri. Anant Korhale, municipal councilor of MNS had made very good arrangements for devotees to immerse Ganesh idols; therefore, all devotees immersed idols in river. Activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had met Shri. Korhale and explained to him the science behind immersion of Shri. Ganesh idols and how donation of idols was against ‘Dharmashaastra’. Shri. Korhale gave personal attention to this matter and was present at the ghat on 18th, 21st and 23rd September, encouraging devotees to immerse idols in river water. He had also erected reception cell near entrance of the ghat and his party members were advising devotees to immerse idols in river water at this cell. He had displayed 2 ‘flex’ boards of ‘10 x 10’ size related to immersion of Shri. Ganesh idols.
