Stringent law needed against cow slaughter in Karnataka : VHP leader

Congress withdrew the bill to ban cow slaughter in Karnataka, which was prepared by previous Govt. Now all Hindus need to unite and strongly demand for ban on cow slaughter not only in Karnataka, but in the whole country ! – Editor, HJS

cowAll India Vice-President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Hukumchand Sawla expressed the need for the State government to enact a law against cow slaughter and tough action against those indulging in cow slaughter.

Addressing a public meeting organised following the Gokraksha Rally by the VHP and Go Samraksha Samithi here on Monday, Mr. Sawla said that the fast declining numbers of cows was a cause of concern and there was a need for steps to address it.

Mr. Sawla said as in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the State too should enact a law against slaughter of cows. “Any government that allows cow slaughter will not be in power for long,” he said.

Earlier, activists came in a rally demanding tough action of the State government against slaughter of cows.
