The Police, who refuse permission for Hindus’ meetings but provide protection to the meetings of fanatic Owaisi brothers by obeying them are displaying their secularism !

Nagar (Maharashtra) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti had organised Hindu Dharmajagruti sabha at Nagar on 12th April. The Police have given due permission in writing for the meeting and use of loudspeakers.

However, while only a week was left for the meeting, the Police refused the permission on 5th April under the pretext of law and order situation. The office bearers of various Hindu organisations have said that this action by the Police is suppression of devout Hindus while speaking in the press conference organised in Nagar Vachanalaya on 6th April.

Shri. Pravin Naik of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, H. B. P. Kshirsagar Maharaj, Shri. Anil Deorao of Bajrang Dal, Shri. Bhagwan Fulsundar, ex-Mayor of Shiv Sena were present in the press conference.

City President of Chhava Sangathana Shri. Shivaji Sangle demanded the transfer of Superintendent of Police Shri. Lakhami Gautam, alleging the communal harmony in the city was disturbed during the tenure of SP.

‘If the suppression of the Police were to continue, Varakaris would resort to direct action !’ – HBP Kshirsagar Maharaj

“Presently, political interference is on the rise in the activities of Dharma. Devout Hindus are being suppressed with the help from the Police. The organisations involved in commendable activities like Hindu Janajagruti Samiti are being harassed instead of checking the bad elements in the society. If the suppression of the Police were to continue, Varakaris would resort to direct action.”

To refuse the permission for the meeting is unjust ! – Shri. Pravin Naik, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

“The Police refused permission under the pretext of law and order situation. However, if you look at the environment in Nagar district, the question arises whether any law and order situation really exists here. Application for the permission to the meeting was made to the Police on 25th March. Written permission was given on 1sr April. The canvassing for the meeting started afterwards. To refuse the permission for the meeting now is unjust. In fact, everyone knows who was responsible for creating tension on the day of Ramnavami. Instead of suppressing fanatics under the law, the law is being misused to suppress Hindus. Why the Police are obstructing the legal way of uniting Hindus ? During last 13 years of the programmes organised by Samiti, not a single untoward incident has taken place so far. Even though, we are cancelling the meeting as per the letter given by the Police; we are protesting against the persistent suppression of Hindutva.”

Shri. Naik has also clarified that despite submitting a representation to the Guardian Minister Shri. Ram Shinde, no firm action has been taken by Shri. Shinde.

To refuse the permission under the pretext of law and order situation is nothing but the inefficiency of the Police ! – Sambhaji Kadam, Shahar Pramukh, Shiv Sena, Nagar

“By refusing the permission to Hindu Dharmajagrutisabha under the pretext of law and order situation, the Police have displayed their inefficiency. Dharmajagruti sabhas were also held in Nagar earlier. So far, none of the dignitaries has made any provocative or objectionable speech. I protest against the refusal of the permission, granted earlier.
