Owaisi’s meetings are held under police protection; but the same police do not give permission to Hindus to even stage demonstrations. Is the law different at different places ?

By refusing permission to Hindus for creating awareness towards wrong practice of westerners, police are suppressing Hindus.

Bhagyanagar : Bhagyanagar police have refused permission to Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for staging demonstrations against celebration of ‘Valentine Day’; in the name of maintaining law and order. The demonstrations were to take place on 8th February in ‘Dharna Chowk’ near NTR Stadium.

1. Shri. Mohan Gauda and Shri. Chandu Moger had gone to Dy. Police Commissioner (Law and Order)’s office on 3rd February for obtaining permission. One of the demands to be made during demonstrations was to have Uniform Civil Code in India.

2. The Dy. Police Commissioner Kamal Hasan Reddy of ‘Central Zone’, Bhagyanagar however, said that no permission would be granted for staging demonstrations anywhere in Bhagyanagar, against ‘Valentine Day’. The reason behind not granting permission was given as maintaining law and order.

3. HJS members brought to the notice of the Police Commissioner that HJS had held such demonstrations/ programs in almost every month at the proposed venue; but never any law and order problem had occurred so far. On this, the Police Commissioner said, “There is Indira Park near the proposed venue of demonstrations and many couples go there on Valentine Day. If some of them oppose to such demonstrations, it could create law and order problem; instead you hold press conference at the Press Club.”

4. Then, HJS members said that they would hold demonstrations only against passing of Uniform Civil Code instead of Valentine Day; but it was informed that Hindus and Muslims were prohibited to stage demonstrations on any issue before Valentine Day.

5. The HJS members requested police to give such reply in writing; but the Dy. Police Commissioner got angry and said, “I will not give any reply in writing; moreover, I refuse to even accept your application. You are not trying to understand and are wasting our time. You should cooperate with us.”

6. Finally, he agreed to stage demonstrations for demand of ‘Uniform Civil Code’; but that too, only after Valentine Day.
