Pro-Hindu Bajrang Dal to lead ‘Hindu’ campaign in UP

bajrang-dalWith RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and VHP president Ashok Singhal pitching for “Hindu Rashtra”, the saffron outfits have decided to begin with Uttar Pradesh.

Sources said that from January 1 to February 15, various organisations like Bajranj Dal, Dharam Jagran Samiti, VHP and others will organise events in UP. Ajju Chauhan, Bajrang Dal UP co-convenor, said that Bajrang Dal will lead the movement in UP and other organisations like Dharam Jagran Samiti and others will assist it.

While they will start from Gorakhpur, two big events will take place in Bareilly and Agra on January 11 and February 15 respectively. “The small samitis and organisations working in different fields will assist us to make thes events a success,” said a senior leader.

“The programmes will start in UP and spread throughout the country. In February end, Bajrang Dal national executive will convene,” Chauhan said.

According to a senior leader, Bajrang Dal will focus on girls’ colleges. “Love jihad se agaah karenge,” he said. Dal will also seek the help of educational institutes to organsie the debates on topics such as “re-conversion” and “love jihad”. Such events are already being organised in Maharashtra, West Bengal and few other states in southern India to mark 50 years of VHP.
