Safe return due to prayers & well-wishes of people: Sunita

Mumbai (Maharashtra): “When I was about to return after 195 days in space, many had a doubt on safe landing of our spacecraft. My father had sent an email to me at that time that every person on the earth was praying for my safe return and to be rest assured that the prayers would definitely be fruitful.” I was very calm after receiving his message and could pass through one of the most difficult 8 -1/2 minutes of the last leg of return journey”, said Sunita Williams, the Indian-American astronaut. She was addressing a gathering of students at IIT, Powai.
       
Sunita explained her daily routine during her space journey with the help of audio-video system. There was direct relay of the program, for the first time, through the websites all over the world. Some students advised her to keep away from the Indian political parties as they were taking advantage of her visit. (This is the opinion about political parties of the country among our students.
