Complaint against the ‘The Economics Times’ for displaying Modi as Shivaji Maharaj

‘Modi is the new Marathi Manus’

Mumbai : Narendra Modi was shown as Shivaji Maharaj on the front page of ‘The Economics Times’ published on 20th October. This picture has been printed below the headline, ‘Modi is the new Marathi Manus’. Mr. Modi has been shown on a horse like Shivaji Maharaj.

This attempt of giving ‘Modi the status of Shivahi Maharaj’, is very disgusting and it is nothing but denigration of Shivaji Maharaj. Mr. Yogesh Janardan Chile, Mr. Chandrakant Ghanashyam Visapute and Mr. Sharad Kundalik Raut have registered a complaint at the Kala Chowki police station, demanding a legal action against the printers, publishers, editor and Arindam, the artist painting this picture.
