HJS : Half a Decade long untiring and visionary efforts for creating awareness on ‘love jihad’

Visionary HJS has been creating awareness about ‘love jihad’ for 5 years !

Dilemma of ‘Love jihad’ has now reached a dreadful stage. Powerful pro-Hindu organizations have taken note of this problem and have started doing something. Media has woken up after the problem has entrenched itself firmly in the Hindu community and are publishing news about the same. In comparison, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) is quite distinct. HJS started creating awareness against ‘love jihad’ problem way back in 2009.

Let us have a quick overview of how HJS has tried to tackle this Love Jihad issue over the last half decade :

1. Awareness created through Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabhas, demonstrations, agitations, website etc. : In the year 2009, HJS started creating awareness among Hindus by organizing Hindu Dharmajgruti Sabhas at various places, through demonstrations and agitations and also through its website. This issue has been explained in different lectures conducted by the HJS. In the three ‘All-India Hindu Conventions’ (Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Adhiveshans) held at Ramnathi, Goa, HJS tried to enlighten people at national level and even today, awareness is being created.

2. On realizing the seriousness of 'Love Jihad', HJS published a book on the subject in 2011 : Barring a few organizations, many organizations and even the Government had no knowledge about this problem which prompted HJS to publish a book in the year 2011 for creating awareness on the subject.

3. The basal problem of vashikaran and its solution : About 30% of the cases of ‘love jihad’ take place due to vashikaran. Hindu young women are hypnotized so their behavior changes altogether and they do not listen to their parents. HJS has explained solution to overcome such vashikaran in the book on ‘love jihad’. Many people have informed about their experiences about benefits of undertaking such remedies to HJS.

4. Obstacles in the sale of HJS’ book ‘love jihad’ since 2011 : During 2011 and 2013, State Governments started inquiring through police about the book on ‘love jihad’ in the states of Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra amongst others. The Governments tried to create obstacles through such inquiries in the sale of this book.

5. Representation submitted to Sadananda Gowda (then the CM of Karnataka) to stop love jihad : Presently, cases of love jihad are on the rise in Karnataka. A representation was submitted to the then Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sadananda Gowda demanding the State Government, Intelligence Bureau, Police initiate firm, concrete steps rather than being indifferent to this problem thereby stopping the oppression of young Hindu women and girls.

6. Extensive awareness resulted in Governments accepting love jihad as a real problem : Owing to awareness created by HJS and few other organizations, not only people, but even Governments have accepted the existence of the problem of love jihad. BJP has taken up the issue of love jihad for election-agenda in Uttar Pradesh; whereas recently, Yogi Adityanath, BJP’s MP had expressed his fiery views on the problem. BJP’s MLA, Usha Thakur of Madhya Pradesh has given instructions prohibiting Muslim youth from attending Garba programs during Navaratri. Now, news items on this problem are being published even by media.

7. Organizational work against love jihad : Till now, barring very few organizations, most of the organizations had not undertaken activities related to creating awareness towards the burning issue; but now, many regional organizations have started undertaking the mission of eradication of love jihad. Recently, VHP has published a circular creating awareness towards the issue.

With such background, HJS’ vision is quite noteworthy. Owing to the awareness created by HJS for half a decade, parents of girls who have fallen prey to this conspiracy, also seek advice from HJS. A reader has commended HJS by saying that the book on love jihad published by HJS is sacred like Bhagavad Geeta, for Hindu girls.

Today, on 14th September, demonstrations are being staged with the initiative of HJS all over the country against love jihad.
