Should a secular Government interfere in management of temples ?

In a controversial move, the State Government of Andhra Pradesh on August 25 constituted a Specified Authority to manage the world’s richest temple Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board which manages the temple was removed following an amendment to the relevant Act by the new Government.

Should a secular Government interfere in management of temples?

Listen to the BJP leader Subramanian Swamy who, speaking on the issue, says that the management of the Tirupati temple should be handed over to some private body. It has been 81 years since the Government took over and its unconstitutional.
