VHP to stage ‘Begging’ agitation against Temples Takeover Act

Pune: On the recommendations of the 15th Law Commission, the State Govt. brought in the proposed Act to take over management of temples. On 5th May, in ‘Nal-stop’ area, Kothrud, VHP will stage demonstrations by way of ‘begging’. It has been decided in a meeting of VHP held recently that it would strongly oppose the proposed Act for taking over management of temples. The alms collected through such demonstrations will be given to the Chief Minister along with a representation. Bajarang Dal has also extended its support to the said agitation. A committee has been formed by Bajarang Dal to protest against the ‘Temple Take-over’ Bill.
